How often do I replace grip screws on my handgun

Grip screws are small screws that are used to hold the grip panels in place on a handgun. These screws can become loose over time due to the repeated impact of firing the gun, and it is important to check them regularly to ensure that they are tightened to the proper torque specification.

As a general rule, it is a good idea to check the grip screws on your handgun at least once a year, or more frequently if you use your gun heavily. If the screws are loose, you should tighten them to the proper torque specification using a torque wrench or a screwdriver with an adjustable torque setting. If the screws are stripped or damaged, you should replace them with new screws to ensure that the grip panels are securely attached to the gun.

It is also a good idea to clean and lubricate the grip screws and the threads on the grip panels regularly to prevent rust and corrosion, which can make it more difficult to remove or tighten the screws.
